I have to admit at the beginning I wasn't liking this book and how it was going. The story line proved rather interesting and it was a good quick read.

If you like mild romance and a little time pass story this is it.

I recommend this for very light reading.
Same day next year is short story that left me with a sweet and bitter taste the same time.Sweet because Gina and Ty went at the same rooms at the same hotel they were the first time they met and they are doing this the same day every year for eight years now and you can see that they still love each other as much as the first time,maybe even more,and bitter because they only have that one day.They have to endure 364 days to have 1 for themselves since the other days they have to go to work,take care of the kids and do everything else married couples do
This was basically an advertisement for the author's other works in the form of an ebook. The plot twist is so saw-it-coming, that mentioning it, along with reading the first page, would probably "spoil" it for you. I won't be avoiding anymore books from this author but I definitely won't be looking out for them.

Another reviewer mentioned being confused from POV's, but I didn't have that experience. It's kind of cute and a bit romantic, but half the pages are links to her other books. I've read far better free stuff here on .
Five Stars PLUS....
I absolutely loved this short...It was amazingly cute. If you and your better half have any small-scale...little ones running around, then you know how hard it is to steal any time together and apart from the unexpected...and in this case, the kids. That get -a-way was exactly what they needed. With crazy schedules, thriving businesses...AND kids, who has or can make the time. BUY...buy...buy the book, you'll definitely enjoy it...unless you're a spoiled-sport...
What a FUN short story! I thoroughly enjoyed this quick read, especially the hotel clerk's point-of-view at the beginning and ending. It's one of those feel-good romances that celebrates lasting love and remembering falling in love for the first time.

The cover, while cute, doesn't match the characters She had red/gold curls and red fingernails, red lingerie.... He had brown hair. So until the short story got to descriptions, I'm picturing her (Gina) as a blonde. Hmmmmmm. Covers, IMHO, should match!

~Not wanting to give away any spoilers, I’ll just say that not everything…or everyone…is as one might first think! It’s a very quick read, nicely written, and I’d encourage you to grab it and enjoy. Don’t expect too much…don’t try to out guess it…simply let it unfold and enjoy.
After reading the reviews I had thought it would be like other books where it's focused entirely on the sex scene, but it brings everything together in the right way. I left it on my kindle for at least a month before reading it, but I concur that this is a sweet story that's just right. After I read it I was left wishing for more words to read, but now that it has been a few weeks since I've read it, I think that it's perfect, as it doesn't give too much or too little, and even though you want to stay with the characters a little longer, it's best that you only had a sneak peek.
I certainly anticipated reading this story having read the reviews BUT I was still blown away ) it was both mysterious and romantic with a twisted ending that had me in an OMG zone lol; I'm thinking of applying the romantic interlude of "Same time next year" to my own marriage. Surely I'll have to proposition my husband- but the added spice of this interlude hmmmm it'll certainly be thoroughly enjoyed..

So yes it's a rather quick read but you'll be glad you found this story; in addition I loved how the actual reality of the couple's relationship was vastly different from how it was percieved by others.. So please eliminate the noise of other peoples perception and live; laugh & love your spouse un-conditionally and let no limitations enter your heart and mind; enjoy eachother to the fullest.
